A New Bloodline

Welcoming Our Peruvian Paso Horses

Some additions to the estancia mark more than just a new season they mark the start of something lasting. This year, we're thrilled to welcome three exceptional Peruvian Paso horses from El Tributo Haras in Buenos Aires, each one bringing not only their own individual brilliance, but the beginning of a bloodline we're enormously proud to be building.

Coco

There are horses, and then there are ambassadors and Coco is very much the latter. An exceptional former Peruvian Paso stallion and award-winning in his own right, Coco is the proud sire of Dominguero and Duquesa, and his influence on the breed runs deep. He embodies everything you could hope to find in a Peruvian Paso: natural elegance, an extraordinarily smooth gait, an outstanding temperament, and a presence that's impossible to miss.

Handsome, noble, and quietly commanding, Coco has built a legacy through both his achievements and his remarkable offspring, a legacy that continues to grow here at the estancia.

Guerrero

Young, athletic, and full of promise, Guerrero joined us from Buenos Aires with an exciting future ahead of him. His cheeky personality won us over almost instantly, and it's paired with a natural elegance and athleticism that make him a genuine pleasure to watch move.

True to his name - meaning "warrior" - Guerrero carries himself with confidence and spirit, and already shows all the hallmarks of a truly remarkable horse in the making. We're looking forward to watching him mature and step into his full potential.

Illusion

Graceful, elegant, and undeniably pretty, Illusion is the kind of mare who captures hearts the moment she walks into a room. Another beautiful youngster from El Tributo Haras, she pairs her striking looks with a gentle nature and a loyal, devoted temperament.

She's the sort of horse who will look after you for a lifetime - the kind of partnership built slowly, on trust and kindness, that only grows stronger with time.

Growing a Bloodline

Together, Coco, Guerrero, and Illusion represent an important new chapter for our herd not just three wonderful horses, but the foundation of a bloodline we're excited to nurture in the years ahead. Their natural elegance, smooth gait, and gentle temperament are everything the Peruvian Paso is celebrated for, and we can't wait to introduce them to guests and watch this next generation take shape.

Welcome to the estancia, Coco, Guerrero, and Illusion, we have a feeling this is only the beginning.

The Peruvian Paso: A Horse That Glides

Meet the Rolls-Royce of Horses: The Peruvian Paso

Nestled among the rolling hills of Córdoba, Argentina, our days at Estancia Los Potreros are deeply intertwined with the horses that carry us. And few are more treasured than the elegant, spirited, and smooth-as-silk Peruvian Paso.

For those who’ve visited us before, you’ll know exactly what we mean. The Peruvian Paso isn’t just a horse, it’s an experience.

What Makes the Peruvian Paso So Special?

The secret lies in their gait - the paso llano - a natural, four-beat lateral movement unique to this breed. It’s hard to describe until you’ve felt it: a soft, gliding motion that makes even long days in the saddle feel effortless. There’s no bounce, no jarring; just a rhythmic flow that carries both horse and rider in perfect harmony across even the roughest terrain.

But the Peruvian Paso isn’t all smooth movement and pretty looks. These horses are known for their brío a word that doesn’t translate neatly, but captures a blend of fiery spirit and gentle willingness. They’re alert, intelligent, and proud, yet completely in tune with their rider. Whether you’re an experienced horseperson or a total beginner, they meet you with grace and generosity.

A Voice from the Hills

To truly share what makes this breed so special to us, we recently created a video celebrating the Peruvian Paso. Narrated by Kevin Begg, whose family has been riding and raising horses here for generations, the video offers a heartfelt look into the history, character, and enduring importance of the breed at our estancia.

Meet the Herd

Our Pasos aren’t just working horses - they’re family. Each one has a personality all their own, and in the weeks to come, we’ll be introducing you to a few of our favorites. From the wise old souls who’ve seen it all, to the younger ones just coming into their own, each horse carries a piece of the estancia's heart.

Ride With Us

If you're curious to experience the magic of the Peruvian Paso firsthand, we’d love to welcome you. Whether you're dreaming of a horseback adventure through the sierras, or simply want to feel the unique rhythm of the paso llano beneath you, there's no better place to start than here.

At Estancia Los Potreros in the Sierras Chicas of Córdoba, Argentina, the Peruvian Paso horses are a highlight of the riding experience.
