The team

The estancia's success would not be possible without its dedicated staff, some of whom have worked on the farm for three generations. The chefs, the gauchos, the guides, the housekeepers and the gardeners all work tirelessly to ensure that every guests stay is of the highest quality, and for our guests interaction with our local staff can often form a valuable part of their experience. We would also like to include Pippa, Harvey, Delphi, Boomer, Haggis and Trumpet - the estancia dogs - as part of the team, who also work tirelessly for our guests enjoyment!

Estancia Los Potreros is a family home and business, and whilst Kevin and Louisa Begg run the hospitality and cattle on a day-to-day business, all of the Begg family regularly visit the hills. Robin and Teleri with their beautiful 4 children take pride and enjoyment in their country home and in seeing the riding holiday business thrive which they originally began over 10 years ago, and Merina loves to escape for long weekends away from Buenos Aires.

The estancia horses have an outstanding reputation, the cattle fetch the top price at the market and the estancia is on many peoples ‘must visit’ lists for Argentina, all of this resulting from the tremendous sustained effort of a dedicated team. But none of this would have been possible without Robert Begg who, along with his wife Susan, followed in the footsteps of his mother, Louie Begg, to lay the foundations of the estancia as it is today.
